1940s Striped Yellow Orange Brown Jantzen Sweater
1940s Striped Yellow Orange Brown Jantzen Sweater
This sweater came from the collection of a woman who lived her entire life in the Appalachian mountains in a North Carolina town called Mills River. We were lucky enough to connect with friends of the original owner and buy her collection of garments. She was an avid seamstress who was active in her community and was making her own clothes from an early age.
Made from "Kharafleece", which was Jantzen proprietary blend of lambswool, Vicara, and nylon yarn that was mothproofed by Mitin. So reminiscent of a candy corn! Has a soft hand!
Materials: Wool blend
Condition: Overall excellent shape
Estimated modern size: S-M, has some stretch

Garment Care
All garments have been cleaned prior to arriving at your doorstep. We use biodegradable detergent and other methods of cleaning that are gentle on vintage and the earth. For garments that can stand water submersion, we recommend hand washing. If you have questions about how to launder a piece from our shop, please reach out.

Ensuring proper fit
Measurements for each garment are taken while it is lying flat. We provide an estimated modern size equivalent, however the best way to ensure proper fit is to measure either yourself or a similar garment in your wardrobe. Please reach out if you have questions on how to compare either measurements to ours.
