Formed in Los Angeles in 1991 by three childhood friends, Kikwear was originally a loungewear brand that exclusively sold boxers in their first six months of business. After seeing the need for comfortable pants and shorts, they transitioned to a streetwear brand. Kikwear was eventually adopted by the underground rave and electronic music scene, and were known for their mega wide leg pants - up to 60 inch leg opening! Kikwear was favored for their comfort and ease to dance in as well as their function, with hidden stash pockets and even pockets that could fit water bottles! They were favorites of celebrities too, Quentin Tarantino was a fan, and hired them to do wardrobe on Jackie Brown.
This is a pair of early Kikwear jeans that straddle the streetwear and rave era with a two tone wrap of contrasting grey and navy denim.
