Serious was founded in 1994 in Los Angeles by Magnus and Karen Walker. Starting out making floppy velvet hats and selling them on the Venice boardwalk, Magnus eventually transitioned to clothing by deconstructing his favorite shirts and pants and using them to make patterns. Through a process of trial and error he used these patterns to create new pieces with bold fabrics in velvet, animal print, and even upholstery material used for cars. The designs were heavily rooted in rock and roll, and were worn by bands like Motley Cru and Alice Cooper.

This is a pair of 1990s wide leg jeans with flame print inserts down the sides. They feature enormous deep pockets on the back and matching flame print belt loops.

  • Garment Care

All garments have been cleaned prior to arriving at your doorstep. We use biodegradable detergent and other methods of cleaning that are gentle on vintage and the earth. For garments that can stand water submersion, we recommend hand washing. If you have questions about how to launder a piece from our shop, please reach out.

  • Ensuring proper fit

Measurements for each garment are taken while it is lying flat. We provide an estimated modern size equivalent, however the best way to ensure proper fit is to measure either yourself or a similar garment in your wardrobe. Please reach out if you have questions on how to compare either measurements to ours.
